“Casa de mi Padre” and “Man on a Ledge” actress Genesis Rodriguez is featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan Germany’s March issue wearing a 18k gold and diamond cross coral ring by Erica Courtney®.

Erica was recently inspired to create her very own fashion headpiece. By using a few simple materials, you can create your own headpiece too by following these easy steps:
Materials needed:

Various chains that are long enough to fit around your head and any decorative pieces to add.

Various jumprings

Jewelry cutter (to cut chains to desired lengths) and pliers (to manage the jumprings)
Steps:
1) Measure the chains to make sure they are long enough for the circumference of your head

2) If your chain is not long enough, measure two chains long enough to fit around your head.

3) Add a jumpring to connect the two chains at both open ends. Do not close the jumpring just yet.

4) Measure the top of your head with a new chain

5) Hook the top chain in the jumpring, along with the two other chains, on both ends. If you have a decorative piece to add, you can add it in the jumpring as well for the front part of the piece. Cut off any extra chain material using the jewelry cutters.

6) Close the jumprings by tightening the ends with the jewelry pliers

Voilà! Instantly look fabulous in your very own headpiece!

Erica used silver chains but is having her headpiece dipped in yellow gold plating to match her hanging gold gemstone charm.

It’s the Year of the Dragon! 2012 is a significant time because it is the Year of the BLACK Dragon, which comes around every 60 years. Black dragon years indicate important changes and most importantly are considered to be full of luck and good energy!
The Year of the Black Dragon will encompass rich, dark hues like BLUE, RED and GREEN.
To celebrate the Year of the Black Dragon, check out the goodies we’d love to wear for a fun night out with our black-toned EC jewelry!

Blue signifies healing, relaxation, exploration, trust, calmness and immortality. Gemstones like Tanzanite, London Blue Topaz and Aquamarine are a great way to wear different ranges of the color blue.

The color red signifies success, fortune, joy, passion and vitality. For a bold pop of color in your jewelry box, try red gemstones! Great choices to achieve this look are rubies, sunstones, spinels and sapphires.

The color green signifies health, prosperity and harmony. With its rich, deep hue, Green is undeniably gorgeous. Tourmaline, emerald, demantoid and tsavorite are perfect gemstones to help create a trendsetting look for spring.
